We really need a new role 'support' or somesuch. Though people tend to think of 'support' as 'shield generator/cloaker/radar' etc.

We need to differentiate 'cavalry archer' style units that use their speed and range to 'skirmish' and 'archer' type units that just use their range. The current artillery/skirmisher distinction (artillery being generally classified by its inability to hit mobiles) doesnt fit this. Ive been saying this for a long time.

For now though, skirmisher just means 'ranged'. Truth is we dont have many true 'cav archer' type units because they are so ridiculously OP.

Like samson was.

New Samson has the support map icon, what more is needed? Skirmisher means ranged and can run, it just meant ranged because all ranged units could run.
