This widget is good fun.

zwzsg reckons that this could be turned into a nice third-person view camera for tracking/controlling units. Possible?

My knee jerk reaction just reading about this widget is "dammit, here we have our FPS/RTS hybrid stuff"!

Never mind the obvious security problems (wide open for hacks and stuff, sure), stick to playing with people you trust (or who play on computers YOU control and setup a la LAN party :-) ), just go for some good, bizarre FPS game!

I'll look into it sometime in a later phase of my life :-).

Maybe Ctrl P or something away from my play keys. It's annoying when it's accidentally activated whilst playing. It shouldn't even be enabled whilst playing tbh, nobody will use it.
I downloaded this widget and forgot about it, was wondering why in two games I got "stuck in FPS mode and couldn't get out" :P

Don't bother requesting that the author change the keybinds, just change them yourself. If he changes them it could screw up anyone's keybinds.

Although I really think a good feature would be to disable the functionality while one is not a spec (as someone else mentioned).

Reg, could you implement an option to hide the green crosshair when this widget is in use? It's so smooth and sexy and I want to use it for recording vids but I either have a cursor or the green crosshair in the middle of the screen.

I think it displays a cursor instead when F5 is pressed, anyway you could hide this?

My many lovecookayz.

I believe that's been done before.

That is what it originally was for my 3rd person shooter mod.
