I now has CS4. It's a bit clunky for me, but that's probably because I'm unfamiliar with it. I've not used it long, but it seems to deal with seams just fine (pun not intended).

you don't have to buy the whole software suite to get photoshop, who told you that?

PS11 still requires Bridge and a few other useless apps and wastes space on the partition where shared files go, which usally is your windows partition.
The 3D paint feature is mediocre at best. Spending your money BodyPaint 3D would be a better choice, also BP3D works better with layered PSDs.
Conclusion:
