I already have said for YEARS that gundam is not available for your Frankenstein bullshit. Kdr while a recent addition to the gundam team can still speak on the project's behalf and he already said it was a no-no.

Technically stormtroopers can't hit anything seeing how the empire decided to make their clone 2.0 army a bunch of Ray Charles' and Stevie Wonders.

Meh, this idea has already been tested in Duckquest. Seems fresh for like the first game, then you realize it's just a gimmick, and mods are unique for a reason.

In other news, emmannuel vs. Spring showdown continues with latest frankenmod on Filefront!

All you people complaining about your content being used in this parody have no sense of humor.

First off, I think this would be funny, and am disappointed that most mod-devs are being so defensive about this. Nobody is taking this seriously. It's a gag. Still, I have no dogs in this race, so I can't really talk.

Either way, even the mods that have nothing to say about it would be a good laugh - like BA (which is based on illegal content) vs. Nanoblobs (which is public domain) would be a fun enough start. Mix in KDR's earlier efforts like CvC (you'd have to ask but I'd bet he'd be cool with it) and I'd laugh my ass off... for about a game or two, until everybody figured out which was best and you never saw the other factions again.

Er, yeah... the Nanos would ... er... let's just say that unless he was serious about game-balance, that BA players would get vaporized by Wolves in about 20 seconds flat.

At any rate... I have zero problem with him wanting to take NanoBlobs and try to make it work vs. BA vs. CVC or LoliMod or whatever. They're all PD for a reason.

Evolutions license doesn't restrict this, but I would prefer if it were not included at least until v1.0 is out. It's only a request tho. Pretty much the license states that you can do whatever you want with the content as long as you don't call it Evolution RTS, however, like I said, it would be nice if you are going to do this, if you would at least wait till 1.0 of evolution comes out.

That said, I won't go on a crusade to destroy if you choose to ignore my request :-)

Could have fun by simply assigning each unit a custom cost-value and removing the build-lists, then running it with a deployment mutator as a tactical mod. You could probably balance it then, since you would avoid the differing rates of geometric growth and resource consumption. At that point, scrape every public mod and make a melting-pot.

Of course, the hard part would be unifying things like the group lists so that anti-air weapon from mod X targets does extra damage to air units from mod Y - that's a lot of tricky grepping.

I have a sense of humor but That doesn't mean I am letting someone pervert what I have done.

Talk to me when you have spent 3 years of your life on something. I have pit a lot of heart and soul sharing much of my work openly. I do not think I am asking too much.

I saw the previous version, he leaves little of the mod's game design in place. KP was turned into a multi-tiered *A like faction with all three (or four?) KP sides mashed into one.

well i dont have dogs running myself.

But i see this as a lighter version of moddevelpment and a havier version of promotion.

It be fun i guess when you can play in one battleroom all kinds of styles.

one of the mods in question was gundam. Fang and I made gundam VS EE once. Gundam players had to take a 50% handicap to give ee players a fair shot.
