Imo there is no way they can make a watchmen film and do it justice.

So, as far as sequels go, there's really no villain in the Batman universe that fits Nolan's tone; Penguin, Poison Ivy, Catwoman, Mr. Freeze, are all just too cheezy/ unrealistic.

Discounting these, there are two big ones that are left: Bane, and the Riddler.

I think Bane would be a good villain; my friend suggested a better one. The only way to top this movie:

Johnny Depp as the Riddler.

Carrey wasn't too bad, I think, but Johnny Depp would be awesome too.

Ye, my friends agree too that Bane and Riddler are the only compatible types.

Speaking of which, Depp as Riddler? Win much?

Saw Batman today.
Id say probably the most serious and grim interpretation of batman ever.
Its nice and deffinatly better than than batman begins which was total shit.
This was a very well made Batman movie. But that and giving it 9.5/10 on imdb...lol...I guess the hype was crazy...
It was more like a crime saga and i only wish this outburst of creative writing was used on somethin else than a comics.
The script feels pretty natural but the batman makes it all look absurd.
With the serious monologues and dialoges and actopr performances...batman showing up wiht his suite and his bat ears...lolz..kinda ruined it for me.
Imo batman was kinda unnesesary even..with all the characters being pretty believable a superhero doesnt blend well.
batman should remain in the "george clooney arnold shwartsneiger" area and Nolan should use his skills on some serious work.
i did enjoy the movie a lot mostly due tohe well written script and good actor performance although they didnt really have much chance.
I guess they didnt want to stretch it even more but i wonder if there will be a longer version released o ndvd or somethin where we see some more dialog and maybe some more depth o the characters.

I give it a 8/10 on the Gota scale,Which is great since most movies would get less.

I give Gota a 7/10 on the Gota scale.

This is recursive.

I totally disagree

why? Most helmets that were meant to strike fear had the *poles* or ear effect, or horns of some sort of posture. Long pointy, it could almost look like a demon. The bat is iconic and represents that he lurks in the night. Getting rid of his ears would be wrong, don't you think it could serve a purpose? like hiding an antenna, or a receptor. Its scary because he can poke your eye out with his helmet alone.

it sounds like to me Gota you were expecting it to be like the original batman movie with shark repellent. The dark knight who is batman was a darker and series toned for adults. That and they updated the storyline, they did a very good job, if anything I think you forgot the joker was too silly, even as a physco path. Then again then you probably missed some of the points of the entire movie. The joker was peacefully insane, and had full logic and intelligent, not a freak or an idiot, and was out to prove a point, and he did it, he won, batman lost in the end. everyone lost.
the maniac was the smartest, followed by the egotistic batman, who somehow stays pure, followed blindly by a man who lost his vagina and half his face that went insane, closely by a classic police officer who still thinks its the 80s and has a mustache.
but fine, i don't expect you to understand, if you can't understand the ironery in perry bible fellowship jokes, i don't expect you to see the ironery in the dark knight.

Why so serious about the costume to give a lower rating?
