What I did for SpringLobby was just paste together a bunch of icons from the Tango Desktop Project (http://tango.freedesktop.org/Tango_Desktop_Project).
While it's just an icon style guideline (sort of what neutralize is poking the spring logo about), they did post some pics that are already in use here. Just download it (http://tango.freedesktop.org/releases/t ... 8.1.tar.gz), and in there you'll find the svg's - feel free to glue them together however you wish.
Just give them credit if you use them, as per their terms of use (on the website)

Thankyou for that vadi, Stealth870, the buttons etc are all handled by java I only need the actual icons, otherwise you would need to make an up down rollover hover pressed selected disabled highlighted buttons for the ~30 or so substance looknfeels and the various windows and Mac and linux looks.
