Is anyone using this already? I would like to use it, with some changes.
could someone reupload it? it seems that there are some bitmaps missing.

tell you what, ill fix up a corpse for this guy and up load the 4 variations, (rifle, missile, rail gun thingy, and grenade launcher, maybe ill even make a machine gunner real quick too?)
ill probably add some falling over dead animations too before its next release, maybe some one can use it with one of the bug packs for some Robert A Heinlein like futuristic warfare?

OMG Starship Troopers Movie MI are so sucky compared to the MI in the book... the movie was awesome for other reasons (NPH FTW) but had about as much to do with the book as Star Wars... if someone makes a Starship Troopers Mod they NEED TO READ THE Book... acctually you all should read it.

i have been read it but have not interest in any more mod projects,( i can hardly finish 1), however i will release models and tex that can be modified/ used for any mod if properly credited. will try to thow in some snazzy animations too, but ill include the messy bos filess for modifying

some pictures of them coming along. you can see the machine gunner, with a tri barrel gatlin gun like weapon, there are also a grenade launcher, a rocket launcher, and some guy with a "LAZER" rifle thinga majig. they are mostly all done, just want to smooth out the death animation.
edit: maybe ill add a way chunkier blood effect? every one loves overly graphic violence in games, no?


as you can see ive added bones as a heap for the bodies, first a bloody version, then a pale white skull. the images i will include will probably be too large for most modders preference but its always easier to down size images instead of up scaling them, now isnt it. and i admit my textures and UV's are be no means professional, so if you think you can do better i only ask that you upload your work to the community to share.

so almost done is what i guess i was trying to say.

well they aren't that pretty, but a small scale unit mod might be a good use?

Well, they're great to use as enemy's, or the main player, much better than what I have now.

BTW, if you are one of those people who paint at 1024x1024 and then resize, could you also give the 1024x1024 texture?

I don't think he means in the game file, just separate if somebody wants to edit further.

yes im including the larger texture files as ive already said, and modders can reduce them for their own mods so they are more stream lined

I'm completly aware of that, but I'm actually going to use the 1024*1024 maps, I'm going to use it for the 3'th person shooter experiment, so I thought some higher res would be better :P

hoi, any thing larger than 512 is hardly necessary. you wont be able to tell the difference with 1024 other than a slower computer...

I'd still like to check it out, see the diffrence for myself, made any progress? is the any working trooper that you can give me so I can start experimenting with the script? and do you have any suggestions for switching weapons? I thought that the morphing system would be a solution, but there might be a better one.

yes, redo the whole unit; make room on each uv to accommodate for a different weapon that is replacing the original.

well i just decided to drop by, and i noticed a new spring version was available. so after downloading and installing i realized i havent touched my spring folder in months (sorry irl stuff). i blew the dust off and packed up some crap that was lying about.

Here are 2 planes i was going to use on a mod and never have, they are in s3o format, have decent UV's but no textures. my only rule is if you use them and texture them share and give credits. would like to see more models in mods that can be shared and not fought over.
