Im sorry Koshi but all your arguments dont make sense.Thats the only thing I can say since you didnt actually say anything worthwhile or presented some logical reasons to why your thinking and methods are more effecient than mine.

I cant discuss this with you cause your just not making sense at all.
Im serious. If you want me to explain myself better than present some logical arguments.
The only logical thing you have presented is server strain and coding complexity. That i accept cause i have no knowledge in programming nor do i have any information about the stain such a system might lead to.

Yes you have but with total nonsense.
A "trust" sysem can in no way asses a players skill.
It is a social tool and all skill assesments will be totaly subjective unlike a mathematical system with no prejudice.
If this is/was not clear to you we have nothing further to discuss.

Quite some hate going on.
I think the proposal is a pretty good idea. If everybody is so unwilling to accept new ideas, how will Spring ever become better? With all of your stubbornness, there shouldn't be ANY new ideas at all. All engine, mod, and map development should stop according to all of your reactions to this.

Pity, since Gota and I are both map makers by moonlight.

correct. why would that necessarily be bad?

unlike a mathematical system with no prejudice.
imo such systems are inherently biased. The plain system you proposed favours good, experienced players. ELO for example tries to rectify that and in turn favors unexperienced players. That doesn't mean such systems are useless or unfair, you just have to be aware of the limitations.

If this is/was not clear to you we have nothing further to discuss.
Meaning you won't discuss with people who don't share your opinion?

He wasnt being sensible he was advertising his lobby/showing that he cant really say that my idea is better even if it is since they are already working on their own thing.

His alternative fails.A play "trust" will most likely be fail.

I think advertising is a sensible thing, even if that was not my intention.

showing that he cant really say that my idea is better even if it is since they are already working on their own thing
a) Something being planned doesn't mean it is being worked on.
b) Did it cross your mind that I didn't say your idea was better because that is not what i think?

His alternative fails.A play "trust" will most likely be fail.
Why do you outright refuse to counter-argue my replies on the points you raised against my suggested model? Don't you think a real discussion is more productive than your oversimplification? Do you feel your topic being hijacked or something the like?

i hope you're not being serious

average mouseclicks is a terrible metric of skill - or even micro, because it can be so easily abused

All ranking can be abused.

Yeah, but you can do it unconciously with this. For example, I constantly click and drag for no reason other than habit. As a spec, this means I often have higher mouse clicks than the players.

One of the great mysteries of spring is truly why someone has to resurrect this retarded subject once every month?

This is an important time for such chanegs because there are a few lobby projects being developed and the server is going through changes as well.
My suggestion wont be used i can see tht but at least some have it in their head now and maybe at some later date it will fit in more.

This has been discussed countless times before....many different systems have been proposed and all are some combination of being too exploitable, too hard on the server, too unintuitive, or outright stupid, and all of them are more or less useless overall.

Balance is borked.
Im tired of this cbalance thing.
Have a clan game mode where clans can split.
In normal pub games have cbalance disabled.
Random balance but do not show teams until game starts to stop hosts from autoing until the team suits them.
Stacked games are becoming way too common these days.
And the they are my friends comment is becoming lame when they obviously do not know each other they just recognise the []'s and the star.
