Also killing people with rockets isn't usually as simple as "walk out, fire rocket, lulz"... if you simply walk out you'll probably die almost instantly unless their back was turned or they're someone you could've killed with a pistol just as easily. If you're playing on realistic, the way the game was meant to be played, you can't afford to lose so much HP for a stupid stunt like rocketing someone and getting shot at in return.
The fact that the game gives you the freedom to kill or save anyone, with almost no exceptions (hermann at the subway, people in UNATCO base, etc), the freedom to fight or sneak or talk or just fire a rocket and be done with it, even if that would wreck an important scripted sequence - that is what was so great about Deus Ex. That's probably one of the most important parts of the game, and not a "lollin joke".
I don't think he has anything to do with the project, no. I'm not sure whether to say this is a good thing or a bad thing through, as Deus Ex and System Shock were the only titles he made that didn't bomb. He had no part in System Shock 2, but DID have a part in Deus Ex 2.Comp1337 wrote:Warren spector i thinkZoombie wrote:So, does the original maker of the game (forgot his name) have ANYTHING to do with the project?
