I am recruiting.

Discuss game development here, from a distinct game project to an accessible third-party mutator, down to the interaction and design of individual units if you like.

Zwzsg: Of course, I knew about your dropships, but I don't find them the most intuitive. For OTA, that system is unavoidable, since there's nothing we can do about it; but for Spring we should be able to make it properly. In fact, all I would need is to either have the unitid passed to the transport (instead of scanning distances or all units) or a way to initiate the recent ReleaseHeld=1; FBI function from the script.

Argh: I just find it funny that you were involved in the long debates over the systems (well, I guess there's no debate over transport code sucking, I guess it's somewhat wrong to call that one out), then volunteer to code them, then quit and start your own mod with the same ideas. That's all I'm saying.

<shrugs> Well, actually, what I last said I would do, and what was possible, weren't the same things. And my particular idea about that concept was rejected, if you will review the facts.

And KDR is probably right, anyhow, and I do not have the code to do this yet, so it's all a bunch of speculation anyhow.

For now, and until such time as I deem it improves gameplay, I am sticking with a totally conventional approach, and I am more than amenable to private discussion with you guys about whether or not this system is too similar, or should be amended- if it ever exists. Fair enough?

And Zwzsg, if I thought your scripts worked as people would like them to, I'd have used them by now, but I don't. I think LUA is the only way out've that hole, COB's a dead end. No disrespect intended, those are very interesting scripts, but they don't do what I need them to do, in a way that players would like.

Agreed.

Wait a minute, I'm agreeing with TRO about something? The world must have flipped while I slept. <returns to painting model>
