Try out Fancy Pants. It's one of the few games you can show to girls and not gain Dork Points
Thing-Thing is almost really cool, I'm tempted to pester the designer with about 5 things that would take it to Really Cool. But then he'd make millions of dollars and buy me on the black market, and make him mow the lawn of his private islands
And Bowmaster Prelude is also worth wasting time on.

Yes, yes- Tetris and (crowd hushes)... Bubble Bobble... something about either inanimate, non-threatening fun, or Kubricks and animate, but non-threatening fun
Smoth knows an actual girl! And she plays video games! And, so far as we know, no kittens were sacrificed in the dead of All Hallows to make this happen.
O ye, who wish to procreate some day, either poke holes in thy condoms and buy a lot of alcohol (kidding!!!) ... or figure out what she might not say, "!@#!, will you quit playing that !@#!@ thing and come look at boring catalogues full of stuff we can't afford" about, because she wants to play something too. Because a healthy house is one where everyone can play. Not just the people with broken chromosomes.
Oh, yeah, and for those who need another game, to distract your better halves... Lemmings...
I swear, if we ever get a big enough collection of nice S3O plants made, I will make that RTS for girls I talked about. I doubt if it'll catch on, unless Spring's interface can be made a lot less like playing with a Swiss Army Knife, but meh... I swear, after looking at the explosive growth of furry MMOGs that feature worlds visually and otherwise clearly not aimed at manly dudes who Blow Stuff Up, once the technology was there, and the giant Girl Power behind The Sims, I've been convinced that there is a huge, untapped market out there, that is still mainly un-captured because of the male biases of game designers (even female ones).

Woo Bubble Bobble! My favorite C64 game, almost... now I've got it on my DS. It lets you start from wherever you died! Did you know there's this hugeass boss on the last level? I can't beat it
Hah, I just Dl'ed (Illegally? Probably) Fallout AND Fallout2, I ALMOST BEAT FALLOUT BUT IT GLITCHED UP AND I HAD TO GET RID OF MY CHARACTER, WHO HAD 70 HOURS OF GAMEPLAY IN THREE DAYS AFTER THE DL WAS COMPLETE!!!!
Crazy monkey games, I and my bro go there everyonce in a while, they got some fun stuff..
I liked one of the zombie games where you could upgrade weapons, I think they have three or so of those..
