Yeah in games like starcraft2 I'm sure they spend a ton of effort to get everything fit together very well and just don't settle until it's perfect (payed people fix things whether they feel like it or not). Here we just cobble things together to the best of our ability so some stuff will look worse although some things look really good.

I don't think extreme realism fits an RTS game. Starcraft is very cartoony and great to look at because of that. Maybe I'll see something to prove me wrong though.

That's merely an opinion. Mostly depends on the theme you have in mind. If you want cartoony then do it, but stick with it.

With as nice and angular as you have the rest of the body, the Misslepods might look better keeping an angled style, and not so much as just boxes.

That head tip should be more swept back, like sonic the hedgehog. :P

I'm glad to see that by just adding a second texture that my models are getting recognition. :P

that's nice OS, maybe the missile launchers could have one or a number of missile heads or launcher tubes poking out at the front though? Just a flat box looks a bit... harmless :)

daym, you model things small rc.

remembering that a 32x32 square = a 2x2 unit... i tend to model @ full scale, that way i dont have to worry about scaling up/down afterwards

Currently it's centre of gravity is off - it looks like it would tip backwards. You need to lower it's stance so that it's centre of gravity is lower to the ground, as well as give it something so that it is a little more 'forward' heavy. You don't necessarily have to add anything to it, just rearrange it's stance a little.

Doesn't look like arm or core. Looks like the first of a new race of cyborg lizards.

Other than that, definitely right with the weight distribution comment, try:

A) shift the weapons forwards a bit or

B) rotate the body forwards at the hip and flex the knee joint slightly more to give it a hunkered down look.

Or both would work.

*adds in obligatory BAWWing about it not looking like a Storm*

I can actually see why smoth gets the RAEG. he posts a "this is my interpretation of the AK" and people rip it up. and you [for example purposes only] post a similar thing of a Storm and people go "neet"

Here is mah mech, 396 triangles. UberMech, it climbs hills good, only has one slot, and has low armor.

Otherside: How is your mech going to be able to aim, is the top and hip seperate?
