20min to heal my rambo pewe?
Well right now it takes 10 seconds for autoheal to start up, then it heals 10 hp a sec. 10 seconds for 100 hp, and 100 secs for a 1000. So, if 120s=1200hp, that means that a peewee heals fully in a minute, a pyro heals on 1 and half, a hammer heals on 3, a can on 6 and a level 1 bomber in 1. A solar fully heals in 30 seconds. a geo in 2 minutes. And so on, and so on...

we could always IMPLENT autoheal for units who should have it. Like peewees, or pyros. If i hurt a unit, it should stay hurt untill my enemy takes action do heal it. if i send out a formelry defensive group of hammers without healing them, they will be less effective then if i took 5 secs and issued a repair area command. If you destoryed my HLT to the point of 100 hp, you should't have to come back 100 seconds later to find it at 1100! (if i did'nt take action to heal it that is!)

Again. The Engie defult changed, thats why autoheal for all units is implented in the first place. I had to ADD a tag to remove it from my vers of AA. http://www.unknown-files.net/browse.php?dlid=1545

Autoheal makes virtualy NO diffrence to any attack (baring the combat autoheal units ofc) Why change it? All i see happening is people having to watse metal building extra cons, slowing hte gameplay down while people spends ages healing their armies... Stupid IMO.

exaclty kixxie.... they repair TOOOOOO fast... WAY too fast...

thats why level one rushes work. back in OTA, and most of all RTS games.. to run 2 of the TINYIEST tanks at your opponent as fast as your can, usually hurts you more than it helps you... why? because they die.

in this AA crap... if you man the tank yourself, or watch over it, or whatever... you can keep it alive, around LLT's, around mines, around anything and kill whatever you like.. over, and over, and over, and over...

its ruidiclious... a peewee, full heal in 60 seconds... without any thought whatsoever...

bah...

whats with everyone just shutting ideas, hell.. GOOD GAMEPLAY down for anyways?...

what makes having to take the time to repair everything after an attack better gameplay than start rushes?

because you have to consider the idea of consequence, retreat, and re-building... plan attacks, "safe zones" and all the good stuff over blindly sending ALL of your troops into battle, and running around like a chicken with its head cut off....

I don't think Caydr even spent time thinking about idle autoheal so complaints about that should go to the devs instead of the mod people.

you have retreating and safezones with autoheal, I'd say moreso than if youd make it even slower by having to have cons do all the repairing, have you ever tried to repair a heavy lvl2 unit with something other than a comm or fark? it already takes freaking forever.

I can sort of see the point of lvl 1 taking advantage of autoheal but then at lvl 1 its not really feasable to have cons just for healing troops, might just aswell make new troops.

why would ANYONE build con units to repair their assult group? seriously, as much of a great idea it seems to be to repair attacking groups, there are the following problems:

1. con units cant heal moving units with any degree of effectiveness
2. keeping attack units still on an attack group is just stupid- you need to keep them moving once defences have been breached or you're just asking for the enemy to quickly spam units out of their factories to defend
3. it takes WAY too long to repair ONE unit effectively, nevermind a GROUP.
4. con units are very, very weak unless they're vehicle cons, and they can turn/micro for shit
5. con units are SLOW except for the fark which is owned by a peewee in under a second

autoheal isn't as godly as you guys seem to think, a peewee is killable in what 3 or 4 hits with a llt are you suggesting a peewee is overpowered because of autoheal?? if you cant beat a peewee because it autohealed about 20 or 40hp you seriously suck.

Lathan FFS GET A CLUE! All the stuff you just mentioned happens regardless if units autoheal or not - ITS NOT BLOODY COMABT AUTOHEAL! You STILL have to pull them back to stop them dying, and beleive it or not, people DO set cons to repair units as it is now, namely the bigger, more expensive ones like fatboys! Just becuase don't need to deal with the tedium of assinging cons to repair a couple of rockos dosen't mean you still dont pull back your units if they're getting slaughtred, you still plan where to attack etc. THINK before you post please!

I bet, since the older community here, and 99% of the developers, scripters, modders, mappers, and modelers GREW UP on TA like it was meant to be, will play TA as it was meant to be...

soo you know what? quit whining, learn to like it. It was the origional, it worked then, it worked sooooo damn well they MADE Spring to keep it going...

one of the Sweedish guys thought an auto-repair was nifty.. and when I first saw it, it WAS nifty... but it got old VERY fast cause it screwed things up...

I can guarantee you, when a nice person mods the "OTA MOD" hah, mod... back to no auto-heal, I'll play it, and own it like a champ.

Oh, and one or two tanks being sent off to attack in hte beggining? Priase be mr LLT!

If someone micros them to avoid defences, why on earth shouldn't they be able to destory those parts of the enemy base?

Why don't you read what people are trying to tell you? Autoheal makes virtualy no diffrence to gameplay....

Oh yes, and once again AA is NOT TA.

And i'm sure 99% of people who played TA since it came out DO like autoheal... I'm just as capable of spurting out flase statistics.

I never said they WOULD like no auto-heal, I stated 99% grew up on the origional, and I suggested that they would probably switch.

quit being pissed off and antagonizing me.

If I feel that they should change it, then I'm gonna post for them to do so, wether they take my request or not is up to them. not you.

Since you didn't take it to heart the first time, I should just quote myself - lock, stock and barrel. But, I really don't need to.

Be civil.

Now, I personally don't like the idea of removing autoheal. I could live with it, but I think it works really well for AA at this point - constant repair for minor damage overlaps with the concept of "pointless micro" that Lindir has written into the Strategy section, and for all major things you need to repair anyway to stay ahead. It's one of the features I still play AA for. If it could be lowered in rate for lesser units, that would be nice.

A mutator without autoheal would be interesting, though. Anybody else want to see this as a bundled mutator?

Try it. See for yourself. I found it fun, and it made my attacking a litthe less effective. Im online if you need a person to play agsint.
