I think so. And most other games also auto-install into Program Files so a lot of people are just used to putting everything in there so even progs that don't auto-install to Program Files (re: default install location) are placed in Prog files by them.

Ah, Windows....
I could go on forever with that, but I won't. Anyway, just move it from Program Files. That should let you edit it, if my memory serves correctly.

Yeah Ill just reinstall the damn thing somewhere else that should let me edit shit again.. Still need a new copy of photoshop unless someone knows a dude who wouldnt mind texturing my units...

could you elaborate on why you think URC is Underpowered..
Also I believe I will have to correct some fo the missile weapons whose flightimes are screwy..
Also just for reference the reason the aliens were/are OP is a calculation issue when I halved everything in transition to epic.. The light combat form does a whole 20 more dps than a GD light battle tank.. the aliens are supposed to be somewhere between GD and URC so the damage scale would be roughly GD>Aliens>URC, instead its Aliens>>GD>URC.. but this is easily correctable..

Has anyone played any games to teir 3 and checked balance of URC vs GD as far as tech 3 combat units.. because running the numbers seems to put GD as UP as far as battle tanks go..

Quicky changelog of what I have done so far..
Reverted to 0.42
Reduced Damage output on
-Alien Light combat form
-Alien Medium combat form
-Alien Heavy combat form
Reduced HP on
-Alien Light combat form
-Alien Light AAA form
Increased Damage output on
-GD Heavy Battle tank
Fixed all missiles with proper flighttimes
Lua of course is functional
Fixed GD patrol boat script issue

because they are more correctly scaled, vs things like ships, we can use the same sized maps but have more playing area, gives a slightly better sense of scale IMO..

The more realistic scale comes at a terrible price though..icon wars..Not only do icons ruin the atmosphere but they also look much worse than seeing a real model.
Icons conceal information and disorientate since you do not know where your unit is facing and how much hp it has.
It is also disorientating watching huge icons that clip with each other.
What is the point of scaling things down if the smaller things look like big icons from gameplay distance anyway(why not just leave then as big models instead)??
There is a matter of unit sizes when they are in big numbers sure,but is EE really THAT spammy so as to make it such a big difference?
Can armies not fit into standard maps?

The reason all the units were shrunk was to allow things like the T3/T4 ships to be OMGWTF huge and not require a massive map to be used on...

EE has gone back and forth on the "Epic Scale" issue dozens of times. I don't think any new ground is going to be covered.
