Multiplayer Spring and LANs
Is it necessary to have your router forward certain ports to your computer in order to hose and/or join? If so, I know I will have problems getting those forwarded.

When hosting you will have to forward the port you select when creating the battleroom (both udp and tcp). You might also have to manually enter your external ip in the file/configuration dialog.
When joining you will also have to make sure that the port the host selected is open and i guess you might on some configurations have to manually select to forward the udp port to your computer.

i will put in lan support into the lobby in the nearby future, and allow you to do so without even connecting to the master server. another option is to connect to the master server and go to configuration. there you can override your ip to your local address, which people in your lan can connect to that way.

But, if your LAN is without internet connection, that won't work.jouninkomiko wrote:i will put in lan support into the lobby in the nearby future, and allow you to do so without even connecting to the master server. another option is to connect to the master server and go to configuration. there you can override your ip to your local address, which people in your lan can connect to that way.
