Save and load multiplayer games

is there ever going to be a way to save a multiplayer game and finish it later?

Strickly speaking: no, you cannot.
There is a 'save' option but the 'load' option isn't intergrated in the lobby (meaning you have to private host it, and ppl have to connect you by IP).
Also this feature isn't supported for the last versions. So I've no idea if it still works.

Well, the feature is partially implimented, so the answer to the question "will there ever be" would be, probably. However, as you can imagine it's taken a back seat to other more important things that have come up in terms of developing spring.
