AI and Multiplayer

Post by Trix »

After having tried numerous times to get ANY ai working in multiplayer i jumped on theese boards looking for an answer.. What i found was vague at best :/ Can anyone give a clear answer wether there currently are any AI's that work in multiplayer, and if not, if there will be one in the forseable future?

Sincerely

Hmmm we've tried pretty much all the AI's we could find and they either crash within 5 minutes of play, or they just run around building metal extractors everywhere, and nothing else

AAI has problems on certain maps (use e.g. comt cathcer remake) and otai performs good for me

NTAI seems to be running around building mexes, but im sure alantai will fix that soon (if it hasnt already been fixed yet)

hmmm NTAI immediatly built a large number of untis udner nanoblobz, it also built numerous other thigns udner SWTA tho it took a while for ti to build a factory, and the last tiem i checked 0.7's latest public release ti started off with a absic base on XTA, but then again people ahev reproted otherwise.

A stable bugfree NTAI is ready as soon as I get decent XTA/AA buildtrees, and so far lindir the green is the only person working on them. As for others who tried and say its not possible, I have released 7 fixes since then implementing changes to help it work better with nanoblobz or fixing new found bugs lindir has discovered. Lindir says he has a working buildtree that builds a base and aircraft etc but he's still got work todo on it.
