Make the islands a bit more... distinct. Make one a desert island. One martian. One lush. One urban. One metal in the center.

Baloogan, this is a popular TA map, which is set on a mars planet. It would make no sense to have different island types. It wouldn't make much sense to have completely varying climates within the same small archipelago anyway.

I agree that the OTA heightmap doesn't exactly flatter the map design, but I've yet to see how it plays, so it could play very well. In which case how the map looks is rather secondary (see: The Cold Place).

Baloogan...

ummm... are you TRYING to raise your postcount?? lame.

The map is classic, its great as is... nothing needs to be CHANGED to a classic map..

If you want an island of each type... (where ever in the universe you'll find something like that...) make your own map...

I like old TA maps that are ported into spring...

noize? did you put metal in the water this time? If not, I'mma take you over my knee in tasclient :D Pull your ear and give you young whippersnapper a talkin to :D.

BTW while I never liked GOW, it is quite beautiful in it's own right. I also like your atmospherics as well as the funky purplish water color (and I know how you did that:D, I won't give away good trade secrets hehehe)

But in all honesty dude, it looks really really nice. BTW on aan unrelated subject, great work with the changes to PDR, very nicely done. Thanks for listening to me bitch (BTW did you notice on Glacier pass the start points are set correctly for random? I did that all just for you :)

ack, may I please request metal in the water? If you remember, GOW came out before the underwater mexes were introduced (to my knowledge if I remember correctly). It would help out the gameplay a lot.

I understand wanting to keep it along the original lines, however, metal in the water would be a necessary improvement imo.
