Forb: Magic Forest uses normal mapping; but the normal mapping is similar to the specular in that it stretches a single normal map on the whole map.

Kloot, Ill look up parallax and sky reflections. Thanks for the heads up and the wonderful features!

Edit: From the shader code I seem to cant tell the difference between specular and skyreflection.

Code: Select all

uniform samplerCube skyReflectTex;
uniform sampler2D skyReflectModTex;
Where skyreflecttex is the sky, and skyreflectmodtex is what we currently tag as specular?

Edit2:
Picasso, I would like to have the birds from the beherith. I want to add some life to Tropical (i has me some fish already)

No, skyReflectModTex is a separate texture to control where and how strongly the reflections appear.

I never got around to documenting the newer/more advanced features (the changelog references them, but they didn't gain any interest from mappers), so you'll have to make do with this draft (and this old screenshot).

i knew about those features and I tried to use them on anteer, but ssmf is so hard to set up correctly and if it's not then it doesn'rt make the map look better.

5 Votes for CCR so far, would love to see remake of that. It's a great map for anything from 1v1 to 4v4 which is why it makes such a good default map for so many hosts.

How is comet catcher redux different from just Comet Catcher? That one is also a legendary map.
