There is no good video that shows "Spring".
There are some videos that show lots of TA based games and then half assed throw in some seconds of whatever else game to justify the "lots of unique games". Like apple when they put one black guy (but not too black!) in their adverts to be diverse.
Then there are some videos concentrated on one game but too lazy to search for links now. (kp and s44 have some videos, evo does too)

For the numbers, just take a look around how many (working) games there really are. How many of them are wip?
How many of the maps work with what games? Are there really "1000 maps" that play good with Conflict Terra? With S44? With Kernel Panic?

Uhm what? TA models in close view does not look good by default. That video is from a time when CA was not yet zeroK and a CA looked like a BA video which looked a NOTA video which looked like a SA video.

Because I liked the composition. 99.99999% the videos are glorified music videos. So I just posted one I liked. There is one spring engine add video some guy made and I cannot remember who did it. As far as spring games etc there are many videos for different games and wips but yeah not much in the way of actual engine videos. I'd bother to explain that spring is not a game but an engine blah blah blah but what is the point.

One of cabbages showcases should be in the running. I like the music for the kernel panic mod showcase except its the same as the best toribash video.

Or 1 video that lasts 5 minutes that spends less than 20 seconds on any individual game ( or focuses mostly on BA ), that fails to get across any meaningful message as a result

To me it is other way around: the "spring showcase" series always seemed more like a music video instead of showing gameplay, concentrating more on transisiations between screens etc. Ie in the CA video I would expect to see some things that make CA gameplay. That could be mex raiding/defending, commanders dgunning stuff, base building, stuff like that. Instead the video has long scenes of lasers shooting at the ground, pictures blurring over each others, all making more for a "trippy" music video look rather then showing game scenes.

If you want to advertise spring/a spring game to a larger audience: YES, absolutely.

Partly true but on the other side: Some games start developing their own style of maps (basically kp, ct and s44 only look&play good on their specific maps. evo&gundam have their own map pool too though it is a bit wider)
So "All interchangeable" is not true. World War 2 tanks on a moon map just look silly.


dimm, it is really good that you try to spread spring and many will appreciate but please please please do it right

...I'll say you dont want to advertise the engine, but a game. One game at a time. Or 'mod' is how spring calls it. (it's retarded but ok)

Advertising an engine alone is only interesting for developers, and while they like videos but usually dont get attracted to an engine just by that alone (probably). I think most of the current devs got attrackted by the game and then got interrested in the engine.
