Pokemon Black/White
It's out, it's great. Is anyone playing it and when can i battle you?
*unsatisfied with his one line post oksnoop2 ponders about what else he could add*
They really changed a lot of stuff up.
*The region is based of New York instead of an area of Japan.
*Triple Battles
*All new pokemon
*Two pokemon can attack you in tall grass
*other stuff
So far the only thing I'm disappointed by is the lack of a cool starter.

TMS HAVE INFINITE USE!
I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON ANYMORE!
While I was not wowed by any of the actual starters, I feel their final evolutions are all adequate to cool.
I feel all of their subtle changes are making for an enjoyable experience. I am, however, very unimpressed with the writing/translation I've seen so far. I am inclined to think it was poorly/hurriedly translated, and if not, then the Japanese writers are really crappy writers. Of course, if the story is anything like the names, they're completely redoing it and the English writers are to blame.
Also, I think a lot of the names are pretty crummy. Tranquill? Pignite? C'mon, really?
Of course I am also 22 playing this, not 10.

Re: Pokemon Black/White
it seems nintendo's art department ran out of idea's when designing the new pokemon most of them look fugly/retarded.
Original 151 and at most the extra 100 the rest got retarded.

The batch accompanying Ruby/Sapphire were the worst in my opinion. I feel pretty good about these so far. I am rather happy with my team so far.
Of course its all left to opinion.

Re: Pokemon Black/White
I caught them all in red but I needed to use the "Missing No." exploit... I beat the game before cheating though... just used the exploit to get a crap-load of masterballs before hunting down the last dozen or so.SanadaUjiosan wrote:TMS HAVE INFINITE USE!

Also, I'm 30 and have been playing the minigame in the PSP Kingdom hearts that pit's me against Cinderella, Stitch, Mickey Mouse and other Disney characters in a board game that's like a really complicated monopoly a lot recently... other highlight include helping the mice find bits to make Cinderella's dress and summoning the powers of the seven dwarfs to defeat a possessed pumpkin carriage... so playing Pokemon at 22 is on the same side of "weird" as I am... whichever that may be.

Oh I was more commenting on my higher and deeper delving standards as a young adult. I am not ashamed of playing Pokemon. Its fun, its a formula that works, granted an aging one I feel.
Of course I treat each game as if it was the original, rarely messing with the dumb, non-battle features. Like in this one where you can dress up pokemon to put in a musical... no thanks. I'll launch Hyper Beams at dragons and giant pine cones thank you.

Re: Pokemon Black/White
Is the multiplayer also limited to the new pokemans, or can you trade in the old guys? I've thought of trying some of the pokeman battle simulators cause the combat system seems decent, but never got around to it.

Re: Pokemon Black/White

I think that's pretty cool. There'll always be dumb and cool designs. I am admittedly not a fan of the ice cream cone pokemon, but I was never much a fan of Voltorb and its overtly Pokeball design either.
You can trade with any of the other DS pokemon games, which can in turn import pokemon from the GBA games. So you could, if you had the resources and devotion, "Catch 'em all"
The multiplayer has a lot of stuff that I don't understand. I haven't read into it yet, but the in-game explanations make little to no sense. But there is of course the local trading/battling, and the Wi Fi trading and battling.

Re: Pokemon Black/White
I dl'd it and an emulator, played for a few hours then suffered an extreme attack of boredom. the original 151 had enough character to make me want to play on, but now I just dont give a shit and its become obvious JUST how repetetive the gameplay is. grind the faggot rats in the long grass for two hours and you can move onto the next stage and catch... homozebra!
real glad I didnt pay for this, its the same shit as the original only with worse pokemon... brock wouldnt stand for this crap

Re: Pokemon Black/White
the joy of collecting them all is lost when online battling.
Everyone uses event pokemon and cheated pokemon to form their teams no one really catches and trains their pokemon really hard it sort of takes the accomplishment out of it.
All the shiny pokemon that people play with are achieved with cheats.
I would only play comp pokemon using a simulator.
Pokemon stopped being original/good at Gold/silver. Though the newer generations added more balanced combat, new moves and specials.
The new pokemon are mostly a joke.

Re: Pokemon Black/White
I know right, EARTHQUAKE AND ICEBEAM FOR EVERYONE!
That was always so disappointing when you wasted your hard earned TM on a pokemon that turned out to be a dud.
