Re: MINECRAFT IS NOW BETA!
There is only one possible sollution to that- we have to crash the moon into the polar holes. Im sorry, its the only way..
Re: MINECRAFT IS NOW BETA!
anyone else notice monsters fighting each other? I never really saw it before but I keep seeing skeletons attacking other monsters.
Re: MINECRAFT IS NOW BETA!
What on earth for? It takes forever to find enough cows and the armor durability is very low. Not to mention that iron is very common in almost any cave and caves are literally everywhere.smoth wrote:we proceeded to farm leather for armor
Re: MINECRAFT IS NOW BETA!
i saw some vid on youtube about tree/cow farming underground, its pretty epic lol. also iron got some many purposes and leather only one so... its still good idea to use these (especially if u can have them in large number)
Re: MINECRAFT IS NOW BETA!
I'm still playing the prev. version, and the skeletons are attacking each other and other monsters...smoth wrote:anyone else notice monsters fighting each other? I never really saw it before but I keep seeing skeletons attacking other monsters.
Re: MINECRAFT IS NOW BETA!
ye its normal, mobs attack each other quite often.
Re: MINECRAFT IS NOW BETA!
I wish minecraft had underground vegetation...
Or like some sort of underground light generation like crystals or something that allow vegetation to grow..
Your digging along and suddenly you fall into this huge underground world with light and creatures and vegetation and stuff.

Re: MINECRAFT IS NOW BETA!
well...
blocks around mob underground spawn got some kind of vegetation on it...
secondly, u can have grass underground, just connect dirt blocks with grass on the surface. tochers provide light which imitate sun what means u can have all kinds of vegetation underground (together with animals spawning there), water is also not problem. just look for vid i said about, u dont have to go to the surface basicly...
oh btw, blocks from nether provide light, but i dunno if it works like sun

Re: MINECRAFT IS NOW BETA!
Yeah but it would be cool to find already existing underground eco systems, well, in the limited definition which minecraft allows.

Ya, I think we'll get some stuff like that at some point. We already got above ground biomes, so I think below ground biomes are a matter of time.Gota wrote:I wish minecraft had underground vegetation...

Re: MINECRAFT IS NOW BETA!
the reason mobs attack each other is because of the AI.
If a mob accidently hits another mob it will attack it.
Happens a lot when skeletons try to hit you with an arrow and it hits another skeleton. They start killing each other for lols.

Re: MINECRAFT IS NOW BETA!
So does Minecraft run awful for anyone else? Crashes, disconnects, more crashes? It's ruining my Minecraft experience. I'm about to go watch some Netflix because trying to play the game is making me think it's 2002 and I'm trying to play Age of Empires 2 on Netscape.
Just a mini-rant. I hope things turn around soon with an update/less-laggy server and whatnot.

Re: MINECRAFT IS NOW BETA!
well, looks like only u got problems :C
Re: MINECRAFT IS NOW BETA!
if your view is set beyond normal this can cause you to crash. Try setting view distance to normal.
Re: MINECRAFT IS NOW BETA!
Not just you from what I've heard. People logging in/out every 5-10 mins because they crash is a common sight online..SanadaUjiosan wrote:So does Minecraft run awful for anyone else? I'm running the game on linux and minecraft is actually rock solid here so you might want to try that if you don't mind using linux..
Re: MINECRAFT IS NOW BETA!
+1 it seems to run perfectly stable on linux, it hasn't crashed even once on my gentoo laptop.Cheesecan wrote:Not just you from what I've heard. People logging in/out every 5-10 mins because they crash is a common sight online..

Crashing seems to be a lot more frequent when exploring / traveling long distances overland.
