It's not about the quick color replacement. Textures are blured and pixelated.

dont worry, keep working and modeling the base models,

texture isnt the problem, its both clean and good to look at, as you can see by latest calderas post.

its just a problem of defining reflectivity and shadows ingame.
If you decide to get a couple units ingame.
Take a look at how cremsus did his reflections textures, they seam prety easy and straigth foward to look at.

The rest is great as usual.

Perhaps with that model you are running into the problems found in this thread: http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=21262 ?

That is actually exactly what I'm looking for! I don't see the issue here...

Also, Masure, I think the main difference between the render and the ingame pic is, there are no normal maps applied. And, I have no idea why the texture got all pixelated. Shouldn't be a scaling issue if its the same for the whole thing. Regardless, I think it turned out fine.

Also, one thing to note guys, is there should be no reflectivity, instead there should be specularity. Though, I get the feeling that means the same thing around here. Anyway, whatever you call it, the specularity needs to be turned up a bit, (just a bit) and the normal map needs to be applied/turned up.

As it is now I think it turned out quite well though!

Oh also, to solve the obvious clash between the model and the ground, a baked AO map shall be made right away.

Yes, units project shadows onto themselves and each other. Please refrain from tga, its bottom left origin makes spring flip it. Png is just right :)

Oh good! Though, it doesn't seem to be showing in that ingame pic. Maybe its just because that map has some very light shadowing.

Oh and, png it is then!

Fusions and Juno and nano all look fantastic, awesome work. It'll be nice to finally have separate core and arm nanos. Redesign of Juno is great too, the design of that unit while it was cool looking - never made any sense for what it did. Looked more like some kind of energy production thing. Your version is much better.

Also, punisher looks fantastic in game. And yes use PNG please, dirty jpegs. :<

Just putting in a quick plea.. Please don't change the BA models! I like them the way they are, as not overdetailed representation of assault units. Some models can be given work, but I won't be happy with BA with vastly different models - If I want that, I play CA!

Just... I <3 OTA models, and the current style of units.

EDIT: Okay I actually looked at the models you guys were using (I imagined you were doing a total conversion like in CA, but I was wrong)

So completely fuck what I just said. Proceed, I approve!

Well, I'm hoping that it gets repackaged with a new name of its own. So, if that were to happen, all you nostalgia bums would definitely be in luck. :D

Not up to me though.

Haha np. Actually, I have my own pet peeves with current BA models. IMO the liche and the dragonfly, and also the design of the krow (what's with the spinney fan in the middle?) are WAY too deviant from the rest of the planes. Hope you guys can find a way to fix that! I guess I can explain further later on so I don't sound like I'm spewing crap.

And I understand the workload that you guys have to go through to remodel ALL of the BA models... but I'm going to spew some stuff that you can immediately ignore:

-Can you make all planes have a land/fly animation? Some don't, or it's not noticeable/cool enough.

...yeah that's it. =D

Yeah, I agree too. The grating just doesn't seem futuristic enough to me... try what he did, or try adding a pipe in place of it that extends out, that turns up or goes into the ground - see how it looks. :D

Other than that, I really like it.
