Speedy Metal2 Remake by Runecrafter

Well all, I played Speedy Metal2 a few days ago and felt that it really needed a makeover (aka. not so squishy 8P) and to whoever made the original, I like the concept. You can get the new version named SpeedMetal from here

u obviously missed the 'metal map' implied (speedysmetal was a metal map)

Ummmm....... clean your windshield Min3Mat it is a Metalmap 8P
The changes I have made are:
Map Hardness (no more having your com trip on a pebble and leaving a crater)
Movement Speed (all land units move x2 normal speed)
Metal (a normal mex will produce about 20-22 metal, and a Moho mex will produce somewhere around 140 metal each sec)
Wind Speed (upped the amount that wind generators make from 25- 30. TASpring will not allow me to raise it beyond that =\ )
Graphics (changed all the graphics and added a nice space skybox)
................ hmmmmmmmm I know that I'm forgetting somthing. . . ohh well.

Yhe screenshots are a good thing. I suggest you add them.

But can I just say

Like WTF?!?! Unless the yhave a radius of like half a map a pop, that SUX. Even a metal map should not have so much resoruces...

In early game you should be happy to get 20 M with ALL your mexs put toghether!

Speedy metal was like, rediulessly big on resources. Heres the rundown.

Tidal gave 100 E
Wind gave 25-30.
Mex gave 140 (!!!)
Hardness on 5. Made golith like crators with hammers.
It was a moon kinda backround, but had water and wind.
It's like 2 screen long, and like 14 screens wide.

So it's an "improvement". It suposed to be a OMFG METAL map.

I wish that you could just set a flag for "unlimited metal" in the game config. That would stop people from making pointless, useless maps like this.

So many posts so few screenshots.

Screenshots are the crux of wetehr a map is popular or not. People wotn downlaod if there are no images. Fullstop.
