Conflict Terra PN models

Zip of Conflict Terra's PN faction

A good chunk of the folders are empty because it's not done yet. I just modeled the last of Tech1. They are mostly untextured wings files. I just wanted to zip them up and let people take a look at them and give me opinions. I plan on texturing them with in the week or so. And after that it might be awhile before i change what you may deem stupid. So please take a peak and tell me what you think needs to change. I appreciate your time and thank you.

I've seen a bunch of primitives like deformed cuboids, cylinders and more deformed cuboids spread over 50 models. Edge hardness was off most of the time as well (auto-smooth is not a solution, it contributes to the edge setup).

So my opinion:
- read a few articles on low poly modeling and UV mapping
- enable advanced menus and try out every function there is till you get the hang of the useful ones (wings specific)
- look at other people's work (i.e. WIP threads or other RTS games)
- redo everything

I'm well aware of the fact that you just started learning all of this and I wasn't trying to be offensive, it kind of describes what I've been doing over the past years

The artwork is mine, the prose is his.

Sorry the door kind of closed already for this batch of models. The great texturethon was yesterday. I'll try to make it a bit easier with the next batch and include screenshots for the ones i'm just not too sure about.

use ur modells how they are now, you could "upgrade" them later anyway

truth. no sense worrying about fixing things you've already done before finishing things you have not yet started. forge ahead, you can always go back later

^ Agreed.

It's actually one of the many proposed subtitles of CT.

"Conflict Terra: Fix it later!"

Id say taper the wings twoards the ends. Thoes big rectangles just see heavy, and not the greatest lifters when it comes to air foils.

Also, you might want the robots knee to jut outward instead of inward.

Flying bomb

also one of my wings windows is stuck up there as you can see, is there a way to fix that?

At kenku, thanks for the wing advice i did not notice how wide it was from the front, It has now been narrowed. and the roboknees above are actually not bent at all. Which now that i think about is incredibly unnatural, I might fix it. Thanks for the input
