there are links on http://www.Tadesigners.com (here) and http://www.planetannihilation.com (here), but neither seems to be working for me...

						Very nice !
Hum, firstly, it crashed, but I've made a fresh install and now, everythings is good.
HLT seem to slowly loose live. (I tested it on corrosive pit, but it's the only one building wich behave like that)
Don't you think that XTA flamethrower look and behave in a funnier way that those one ? ( I could have sayed the same thing for AA)

Yup nice work!
One thing though: it looks like some units could use different weapon settings. For instance, the shells of TLL's Big Bertha equivalent look very small for the damage they do. And perhaps some units should use the beamlaser.
I also noticed that the unitscaling isn't in XTA-fashion (that is, heavy units are big compared to lighter units). But of course this is just a matter of taste.
Lastly the advanced bomber (I forgot the units name) didn't do anything for me, it just flew very low in a straight line and refused any commands.
Otherwise, excellent work. It would be nice to see this race come standard with Spring, but then it should be adjusted to XTA-style balance. Ah well, perhaps in time ...

Yes, and it's widly spread.NOiZE wrote:U mean a constant stream of fire?Torrasque wrote:Don't you think that XTA flamethrower look and behave in a funnier way that those one ? ( I could have sayed the same thing for AA)
Now, it behave and it's used more like a laser than a flametrower imo.
(multiple unit's hits at once)
wow, never saw this race in TA, but even here at spring it looks great, excellent job of the creators, and thanks lots to you NOiZE for being porting it.
Im with colorblind on core/arm balance vs this race, im so used to xta that would really love to play this race against it.
is xta is based in UH too?, not sure...
Had lots of fun testing it, it mixed elements of xta, like lvl1 gunship rushes, and had some uber units like AA, as several "in between" resourcing structures...
Some of the stuff that gets "odd" in spring with ported TA content, is the ranges. LOS ranges, weapons etc, and the climb rates, as kbots cant climb much of the smaller hills. Are you planning to do some work on that part?.
bet i can beat TLL with xta races XD

Yes, TLL has XTA writen all over it.mongus wrote:... it mixed elements of xta, like lvl1 gunship rushes, and had some uber units like AA, as several "in between" resourcing structures...

Balancing would preferable be made the SYs. I wonder if either the SYs or NOIZE could make it XTA wise.
Is TLL dependant of copyrighted material? If so, probably mostly sounds and cursors which could moderatly easy be arranged for substitution and give us the long waited free from copyright mod.

Small bug list:
- most players don't see the TLL team icon when first joining, they need to host a game of TLL in the lobby client before the icon activates. Probably betalord's fault...
- flash tanks have no fire sound
- missing texture, core comm's eyes
- missing texture console error armmlt.cob
- TLL ghost will only do a single boming run pass, after that it's bombs jam indefinately
- TLL advanced aircraft plant texture is REALLY dark. No idea why.
- Increase speed of several artillery projectiles. They currently can't fire close to thier max range in any maps that have moderately high gravity.
