It's pretty good.

I was hoping it contained more on the development of the entire advertising industry, instead its just decent looking ppl screwing and screwing with each other. Watched the first 10 episodes, was left quite bored by it.

What could you possibly show about the development of the advertising industry?
I think a documentary would be much better suited if you wanna know the dry facts(which i am sure are interesting as well) about how mass media advertisement came to be and evolved.
I think the series tries to capture the life style of those people and the feeling of the time.
I don't know if they actually succeeded,for obvious reasons,but it seems intelligent and realistic in how it portrays the conceptions and misconceptions about life and relationships between people at that time.
Both in business and in the private life.
Also,the acting is not bad at all.

i have seen teh first two seasons, and i liked em. I did nae share behs thing about them, i think they where fucking awesome parts. have not seen seaone 3 yet, but im initeresyet. mad men is the shit. drinking and fucking and smoking, what is there not to likE?

i fukkin hate them. Those i met were fullofthemselve scum of the earth, convinced that nothing was beyond there power. They are bascially the usual megalomania intertubespsycho, equiped with money and mediamachinery, set loose on humanity. And they run society into the ground, just look at Europe which is currently governed basically by Professional Lobbygroups, which means PR-Agencys alias MarketingAgencys.
