I'd say it's a false positive or a pre-existing virus on your harddrive that is infecting other executables.

(also IE5!!)

i googled for the virus name and it seems to be able to install via websites (among other sources)
so combined with IE5 maybe you should be a little worried even though everything still seems to be working at the moment..

It is Polish.

Maybe this program just detects viruses in random files to pretend that it does anything useful, while it doesn't and its whole purpose is to make people pay for its uber gold premium full version with even more of its oh-so-awesome features. ;)

Honestly I think there was another thread like this one some time ago, and the conclusion then was that the auto-update downloading code in TAS would trigger a false positive in some antiwyruzs software because it resembles a technique used by many internet worms that inject a small piece of code into the system that then downloads more nasty stuff.

Nevertheless, my brother just downloaded the newest TAS via client (autoupdate), than he get some big problems with his D/ drive, and he had to format disc again. Too bad he hasnt got any antivir, cuz its a new PC.

Something must be wrong with this client.

yeah right. I suggest he gets a decent anti virus program, and scans his computer bottom up. TASclient is open source, and it has nothing in it that can do any harm to your pc.

I agree, and it takes pretty severe bugs to ruin the entire file system. Never seen any software doing that, ever. The worst I have seen is commercial software that destroys the entire OS - rendering the system unbootable.

If that would be commercial software, then companies wouldn't be making any money. I think you mean more malcious software there, or am I wrong about that?

Heuristic.Win32.E

Avast misses a lot of malware, an antivirus is no excuse for not running as a standard user with the correct security setup.

I am pretty happy with nod32. The only false positive I got was it deleting Cain on me.
