Modding requests!

Post by NOiZE »

Sorry if i sound harsh but my english isn't that good

- be able to define my own custom explosions
- be able to define my custom nuclearmissile build pic's
- multiple sides support
- be able to use the RGB spectrum on lasers, as only hue can't make dark lasers
- be able to make buildable weapons (as nuclearmissiles) to be other kind of weapons, ie lasers/ plasma etc..
- animated textures
- be able to controle the thickness of beam lasers

EDIT

stockpiling lasers does seem to work

Can't you just modify the pic in the bitmap folder?

Don't know if that'd be possible. I would assume it'd be possible to define explosion colors, though...
- be able to define my custom nuclearmissile build pic's
Agree
- multiple sides support
Spring itself has had it forever. It's the lobby that doesn't support it yet, and Betalord is well aware of this because I bitch at him constantly for it ;)
- be able to use the RGB spectrum on lasers, as only hue can't make dark lasers
Agree, and same for plasma weaponry.
- animated textures
That's probably less likely than alpha on textures...
- be able to controle the thickness of beam lasers
Agree, don't know why they didn't do that in the first place.

Quite sure there's already a beamthickness tag.

Agree on all the rest, though custom explosions are unlikely. To be able to change the color of explosion, and whether or not it creates smoke would be great though.

Animated textures seem highly unlikely.

/edit/ I'm SURE somebody did it ages ago, but every one I talk to denies it ever happening  /edit/

It doesn't work on consta-beam lasers such as the Annihilator's.

I wish someone coded it so it works also on consta-beam, it would make the Monkeylord laser more ominous without having to resort to a stream of flat models.

Purple FTW!

How would purple lazers work?

Purple should be what we see in the near UV spectrum...
So it would be archiveable by frequency trippling GaAs IR lasers in YAG crystals.

You could also just pump some medium into high anharmonic oscillation and frequency couple the higher harmonics, and afterwards seperate them via a grating lattice.

Krypton-fluorite lasers should also work in that spectrum.
Another way would be a medium tuned free electron laser (although rather expensive)
There are plenty of ways to get lasers of any color... even those we cant see...

Monkey Lord could just use 16 beamlazers... that would be pretty cool to see...
