Ok, I have recently got back into Spring, and I have downloaded Spring: 1944 along with two maps; Road To Rome (V3) and Terra Firma, both from JobJol. I have previously played older versions of Spring, and there have been no hardware changes since.
Computer Specs:
Windows XP SP1
996Mhz CPU (Yes, horrible, but I've tuned my PC for over 3 years and it can run some pretty decent games.)
Nvidia GeForce FX 5500 ( 128mb Vram )
512mb RAM
1505mb paging file
As I said, I've ran Spring with no problems before and my computer was the same then as it is now. I lack an internet connection on my PC so I can't provide any screenshots, so I will do my best to describe the error and solutions I have tried already.
On both maps I have, terrain is black with colored bands that run horizontally across the terrain. The bands are often red, but can be other colors. I can see the colored heightmap as well as what I believe is the path map (F2, green and red). Both show correct maps, but it is unbearable to play in those views exclusively. I can actually see correct textures if I zoom in as far as possible, but of course I can't keep the camera like this the whole time. My guess is that the 'detail' texture is fine, but the one used for farther views isn't fine.
I've tried disabling, enabling, and adjusting shadows with no luck. I can tell there are shadows because they actually darken the colored bands, but it's difficult to see.
I've set the terrain LOD from the lowest to the highest, as well as setting everything to the highest possible settings. (I haven't messed with water or skies though.)
I've tried changing my resolution and tried running Spring in windowed mode, with no luck.
Sorry if this is a common problem, but I've read over many terrain related topics in this section and haven't seen anything relating to this. I've tried changing my view radius also, but that just changes the terrain detail without actually helping with the textures being all funky. Any ways I can try and fix this?

Mind taking and uploading a screenshot? (F12)
Re: Terrain Graphics Corrupted
I guess I didn't make it clear enough but I can't provide a screenshot, at least not now. I'd have to wait around 10 hours to do so, as I have no internet connection on my PC. I have described the problem as best as I could.
Also, I've looked in the log for any texture errors, and only saw sound errors.
Edit: Ha, it finally worked for no apparent reason. I don't know what I feel most, relief or frustration. I hate solving a problem accidentally, oh well.

fx 5500 is a bit bottom of the barrel at this point, but I used one for a while and could squeak 30 fps out of it at medium settings.
Drivers perhaps? Reboot computer? My fx never gave me any trouble.
