Mouse handling changes

Post by MelTraX »

I don't know if it's just me but I'm having some issues with my mouse since the last release.

Since I know Auswaschbar changed some stuff, I thought I'd let you know.
  • Two times now I couldn't use any mouse buttons on the battlefield. Everything worked fine on the minimap and units were highlighted on the battlefield just fine but I just couldn't click. No selecting, no cross-mode with middle mouse button. And no, it was no widget; I disabled LuaUI to be sure.
  • I can't use my touchpad to scroll anymore. Like many touchpads mine has a designated area for scrolling at the right side. It used to work fine in Spring but now it doesn't.
The first one renders the game unplayable and the second is also really bad if I don't have an external mouse attached. While I probably wouldn't play without a mouse I do miss the scrolling while speccing.

Do you play in windowed mode? Did the no clicking error arise after drawing a custom formation?

I actually recently started having problems with the speed of the scrolling across the field in the "J" mode.

It seems that when you move around with your mouse (as said above, J mode, crosshair in the middle, and move the camera purely with mouse) when the view goes downhill, the speed increase does not stop, and is still applied to the continuous movement on the plane, resulting in the "snap" to the edge. It also feels like there is mouse acceleration, although I NEVER had that before.

Ubuntu linux. No system mouse acceleration.

Its really frustrating now tbh.

That one was fixed for me during 0.80 beta stage. Don't know why you still have it.
