Spring on openSUSE

I tried to install spring but it has no mods or maps. where do I put them?

Well, I assume you're using Springlobby, so load that up and it will generate directories for mods/games and maps.

I don't know where it generates them, but they're nowhere until they're made, of course. I think they're subdirectories below the spring package install directory.

do it put the maps in a folder called maps?
