Post by wired »

i got the size from 20 megs to 5 megs =D. inverted the hieghtmap, and also add loads of metal to the valley so you dont have to go the plane route to win in the map.

The gameplay dynamics are interesting, but the maps is sorely lacking in the gfx department.

Just my two cents.

From the way the metal extractors are layed out, it looks like you have far too much metal for the map to be enjoyable...

Dragon, I'm sure the graphics are just suffering in the screenshots because of his card. It looks like he's running in 16 bit, and you can see yourself he's running in 800x600 with no shadows or anything. It probably looks fine on a decent PC.

If I understand correctly this is his first map as well... All things considered it isn't terrible.

wired: try to break up the texture of the valley floor a bit. It uses a very low res texture repeating ALOT and there is really no interesting features to it. it also merges EXTREAMLY sharply into the cliffside texture, making it look kindof odd. Blending is good.
