Resource.tdf Question (and Suggestion?)

So it appears that most tdfs are now being parsed by lua. Would it then be possible to have, say, combine the entries of multiple resource.tdf files? This would mainly be useful for maps that have their own bundled lua effects based on CEGs and whatnot.
