the fact that you take such profoundly petty things so incredibly serious makes you such a irresistable target for trolling. You really shouldn't be astounded, shocked, saddened and dissapointed about it.

thing is that AF and Neuralize were trying to establish "branding" with the spring logo. I still feel that the documentation is not clear enough on where and how the logo should be used and I have not checked lately but there were not many alternate treatments.

I think the "standard" logo af set up looks good but I think he does push too hard about it. If I was doing something that was supposed to be LOOK IT IS spring, I am definitely using the logo he made. I just think he needs to appeal to people rather than barking loudly.

hmm so internet trolls assume everybody is being serious automatically and then troll to suit? Interesting.

However fashionable it is to tarr AF right now perhaps it would be better to troll me in a thread where doing so doesn't cripple community marketing, or where seemingly respectable members of the community who troll would be shown up quite badly ^_^

( no that wasn't a dig at you smoth)

As long as its stuck to for things like banners on the site and official media it should be okay, but as it becomes more widespread people will notice when users deviate from the spec by making the sun pink or getting rid of the blue bit etc etc and it'll look silly and we'll all be like wtf?! and Ill have to go fix it.
