Charlie foxtrot and the galaxy of tomorrow

Post by manored »

http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/ (first page full lenght games, direct link doesnt aparears to me for some reason)

This game is a point & click game in the style of Lucas Arts. Its not very espetacular in terms of point & click games (so far, hoping it will get better), but its REALLY fun :) The manual is quite funny and creative as well. Makes me laugh more than any other point & click I ever played

Definitely plenty of sarcastic comments when you try to do stupid stuff like grabbing the floor. The scenes are good, but the "game play" is just alright- whenever I get stuck I usually just try random actions until something works, and it is usually something stupid that it gave no indication that you had to do (talking to the enegerbil?)

Ill give it a 7.

Sounds like Sam and Max - get the severed hand of Jesse James, attach it to the golf-ball-retriever from the crocodile driving range, attach the magnet to the hand, and plunge it into the worlds' largest ball of twine to get a mood ring. Cute game, but it didn't make a lick of sense.

Well I wouldnt say talking to the energy bill didnt made sense, since you should ask something to people before enforcing it :)

The game do has some parts where you have to count either on luck or experimentation to find things out, but most of it its quite logic, and you even see your "its so crazy it might just work" dreams coming into reality quite oftenly :) . For me the main drawback from the game is that the character doesnt notes down cordinates for you, so if you change the coordinates in the space ship or time-machine before writing it somewhere there is no way you can get then back, causing you to be stuck... the game also has some bugs and no-way-to-tell-that-will-happen deaths, so one should salve oftenly and probally in multiple diferent files.
