Re: Request: 0.76b2
I really hope the unit collision divide by zero is fixed in the backport version. KP.net is too crashy without that fix.
Re: Request: 0.76b2
that one went in since even though it affects sync, desynced clients will crash out ^^
btw zell: which version exactly do you use? (zipfile name?)

Re: Request: 0.76b2
k thx, i'll try to look into those.
Re: Request: 0.76b2
zell: i cannot reproduce the build that you should be using, which is reaaaaly weird. guess i'll just release an another experimental build soon, so i can stash debug info away somewhere.
Re: Request: 0.76b2
new experimental build released, hopefully the last one. note that unitsync may not work with tasclient (works with springlobby though.)

also this time I should be able to make something out of stacktraces ^^

Re: Request: 0.76b2
do you want us to try this and leave you feedback?
Re: Request: 0.76b2
Why do you even WANT to retain sync? Wouldn't everyone upgrade anyway?
Re: Request: 0.76b2
smoth: yes, of course, especially if it crashes.
kdr: 1. replays. 2. I've got bad memories of brown-bag-on-head bugs that didn't show up in tests but were almost immediately found minutes after release. (Besides, I'm not the one who's doing the next feature release, bug Tobi about it ^^)

That's the CA crash again. If you need that, that build being forced to windowed mode is annoying though.

Re: Request: 0.76b2
that windowed thingy sucks, and I have no idea what's the cause. will be investigating. thanks for the crash report.

should have both the crash and no-fullscreen issue fixed.

Re: Request: 0.76b2
new issues keep coming up, fixes being backported from svn.

note that this also has 'extract from archive' feature backported, so you can have mod music in this version.

some minor improvements and the thing you asked for, KDR. please warn your players of potential problems, though.

Re: Request: 0.76b2
huge thanks for doing this - 076b1 had critical networking bugs for us, and SVN cant get on a lobby server (and unstable with old unitsync) so can't play!
so this is our chance to play spring again :)
haven't tried it much yet, just moving files about, hoping to get this stable.
not your fault mostly:
- shame it lobby crashes on new unitsync.dll but if new spring.exe works on old unitsync i don't really care?
- KAIK crashes with CA still :/
- KAIK doesnt seem to work with XTA either
(most of the backports are related to KAIK?)
anyway this is looking promising as a useable recent-ish version of spring, keep it up, please!

Re: Request: 0.76b2
For the time being just get the latest KAIK build from the thread
in AI/, it's binary-compatible with imbaczek's Spring executables.

Re: Request: 0.76b2
hey neat, with the new build of KAIK:
viewtopic.php?f=15&t=11343
it did actually stop crashing on load. thanks Kloot!
don't want to speak too soon but it's looking like LAN Spring might be back on the agenda :D
thanks to you two.
edit: actually new KAIK still crashes on the test (1805) build of CA, only, not anything else afaik. this is good enough for me :)
