I had a Baby!

Post by SinbadEV »

(well... my wife did most of the work I suppose)

7 pounds 15 ounce baby girl named April Mae (she's less then 24 hours old and she's being fussy so I'm typing while rocking her back to sleep... I think it's gas.)

Almost 8 pounds... fairly big baby. Hope the lady's feeling great after her hard work.

If this is your first one, just remember... the first 6 months are fairly boring, and involve a lot of not-sleeping, but after that, it's magical. Sleep when you can.

I love the name. Somebody will be putting up with joke birthdays for the rest of her life ;)

Dude, my boy was 8 5 - a hair under 8 pounds is pretty midrange actually.

And yeah, have fun with it. And kiss your Spring-playing days goodbye, unless the other players don't mind being well-acquainted with the pause button.

Then again, I've gotten a decent number of games of Kernel Panic in with Julian in my lap.

I can see the TurnBased Spring Mod on the Approach - including a "Baby puked on the Keyboard" emergency button..

Thanks for the kind words... had a rough night... baby's got a few more hours to learn how to latch before they make us feed it formula.

Actually, semi-ontopic - anybody know where I can get a blender-friendly version of one of the cuter PeeWee remake models? I've been doing some iron-ons onto Onesies for little Julian, and thought that might be fun.

Example of a previous effort:

Are you kidding? At Sinbad's kid's age they're just trying to build up their stats in "eat" and "sleep" to a basic level. That would allow them to survive long enough to get a point in dexterity so they stop missing their aiming rolls when trying to get their thumbs into their mouths. My seven-month-old Julian is still trying to master the skill of "sit on his bum".

Finger painting is a long, long way off.
