My First Map: Be gentle!

Well, it's not a work of art, but it's not complete crap. Any constructive criticism welcome!

one critique point first:

A minimap in fileuniverse would really help :)

Yeah, I would if I could. I click upload, it takes about a minute to upload, and then it doesn't appear on the page!

I just uploaded several images myself using the same stuff you guys have access to, so I don't think it's a problem with FU...

Well I just had my first game on it, which I won because my opponent didn't know that hovercraft weren't slowed down by the sand. How exactly can mapmakers tell the players the nuances of the map?

Here is a screen shot on sand. The players should look to
the bottom left to see what type terrain they are on.

Look where the red arrow is pointing at. That will give you some
info on the speeds.

Yeah, i did realise that, but didnt pay any attention to it until too late when i'd already spent alot of money on kbots.

Can anyone give any advice on how to do the sky? Right now its this yukky yellow!
