Hey, GZ, maybe we can get together tomorrow, or friday and play a game. I've got a videocard coming this afternoon, but I'm not sure how long it'll take to get installed and working, but then I'll be able to play SpringWD.

hi remove the mig-21, f-5 ill replace it with something else (they are no longer operation al soon)....

Also what if the new retextured unit (the texture set) put into different .hpi file ? this way we can slowly remove all ex-OTA texture and keep the texture on manageable number
Ill use 20 == 32x32 pixel texture at max for each unit so WD can have at least 200 unit.
(==32x32 mean comparable, so could also be 40 32x16 texture, or 16 32x32 pixel + 16 16x16 pixel or 1 64x64 pix texture plus 16 32x32 texture which will take the same total size in square pixel)
I'll remove those fighters and your plan sounds like a good one, we really need to get rid of many OTA things.

GrOuNd_ZeRo, how much original TA content is still used for TA:WD?
Textures, sounds other stuff?

If it's free of any Atari content I will try to convince the Linux port people to include it as the standard mod.
Purely for legal reasons.

Well, the MiG-21 might still have a place, an upgraded MiG-21BIS maybe?

I changed all Machineguns/rifles to lasers to imitate tracers, it looks GREAT, the assault rifles and other small arms have very tiny tracers, they barely see them, like bullets zipping buy, it all looks great :)

Love to GZ, but I consider IM's a security risk, and stupid in anycase. And now I can't get a commander to appear. *bangs head on keyboard* After buying a new video card to play it, and now it does this! ARGGH!!

*runs around screaming* Plus my sound has gone wacky after a reformat, so I've got to redownload 15MB worth of drivers. I'm not having a good day. At least the blasted video card worked the way it was supposed too. Fantastic jump, going from a Voodoo3, to a Radeon 9600PRO.

Tim, i'll respond in English since this is an international site (niet dat ik het erg vind om nederlands te praten hoor!).

There is still a reasonable amount of TA content in here, some textures, some sounds and ofcourse the original file structure.

LOL Maestro, I understood Da I think.

My cousin is in Indonesia, his mother is Indonesian, I believe her parents were from Sumatra, he is working on reconstructing Indonesia after the Tsunami disaster :)

Sorry that was a bit random.

Anyway, i'm having fun fiddling with Spring's engine and WD.

I am gonna try to implent tank tracks to units and see if it's any good.

Since I do the NATO models these I have planned to update so far:

Abrams, add more details and round down features more, I will also add a bottom to tanks
Bradley, some minor extra details, same as Abrams.
HMMWV, add details such as top hatch for the machinegun.

I will considder adding some landing gear to aircraft, perhaps round them down too, I will have to make infantry look rounder too, they don't look good, even when not zoomed in.

i never saw a soldier higher than a tank^^

yeah but most ppl play in RTS mode and soldier too small could be a problem (I have trouble playing sudden strike as soldier too small and i cant recognize which is which)

I already resized NATO infantry in the current release, and in the next Mospact infantry will be resized too, there is a problem in recognizing infantry when they are this small though...perhaps we should make tanks bigger and keep infantry the original size?

I think resizing the tanks is a good idea. The size wouldn't have to go up very much to make it appear realistic, just a tiny bit. A lot of the vehicles,such as the humvee, are the correct size already.

I wanted that from the start actually, but since many of Maestro's models still had OTA textures and some of my old ones too, I had little choice, replacing them would be too much hassle.

We will have to work slowly on this.
