For some reason the very bottom of the screen is cut off when I play. It's enough to make text at the bottom of the screen unreadable but the most annoying thing is that I can't scroll down by moving the mouse to the bottom edge of the screen. The mouse stops at the edge of my monitor but I think that the actual edge of the playing screen is below that (so my mouse never reaches it).
I've tried playing at a bunch of different resolutions and get the same problem every time. I have a picture but "to prevent spam" I'm not allowed to post a link to it.

My monitor is a Samsung Syncmaster 940N (19" non-widescreen LCD) with a maximum resolution of 1280x1024. My desktop resolution is also 1280x1024 and, as I said, I've tried playing Spring at many different resolutions and still get the same cut off screen problem.

SDL doesn't like some screen resolutions when combined with certain versions of graphics drivers.
As a result the area spring draws too can mismatch the actual rendered area, overdrawing past the monitors edges or not reaching the edges and leaving a black border.
You can use a standard resolution and deal with the stretching, spend ages fiddling the values of the resolution, or try updating your graphics drivers. Until SDL fixes this bug and spring updates its not going to go away on its own.
