Getting AAI to work with Mods

Post by Arawn »

I am running Ubuntu 7.10, and I installed spring and spring lobby via the instructions on the wiki, and I installed Star Wars TA first. This seems to run fine with AAI, KAI locks the computer up, but this seems to be a known issue.

I then installed BA v 5.8 (and the OTA content), and the gundam mod, however the message I receive whenever I try to play with an AAI bot in these mods is something telling me that it has failed to initialize properly and telling me to look in the log file, which contains the following.
"
AAI 0.81 running mod BA58.sd7

Mod config file AI/AAI/cfg/mod/BA58.cfg not found
"

Now if delete the folders which I did not create following the wiki instructions, and run the Star wars mod, then it displays messages indicating that files are being created. There is not starwars file in AAI/cfg, nor even a mod folder, but the mod folder does not seem to make a difference. While touch BA58.cfg will cause spring to exit/crash if I try to run spring.

Any help with this would be appreciated.

AAI requires a mod config for each mod you want to use it for. I honestly wish the devs didn't include it.
