Actually IS-2 had 3 different nose configurations during its production time:
Image
The leftmost one is early (1943) model, considerably weaker than the others (front armor could be pierced using ZiS-3 gun, not good). The middle one is the 1944 model, and rightmost one is the 1945+ model (both are much better at resisting shells, they completely resist 88mm fire in 60 degree frontal sector). The nose on the model is a bit pointed, it's just the render doesn't show it quite enough.

Basic transparency was implemented at the same time as reflective units (rather long time ago), lulz.

One more heavy vehicle from me

Post by yuritch »

Another heavy thing from me. It's a bit undetailed, but the details on the real vehicle are of the type better done via skin.

I hope it doesn't look like a toilet?

It's a bit off, but the fact it's recognizable (Elefant) shows it's still decent. It may not be up to par with your other models, but your other models rock. :)

Well, it shouldn't be that much off... (now that I added the little "gun support" thing that was missing from the model before).

(I definitely need better renders, I'll probably use Spring engine itself for that from now).

How will the gun holder work?

I think it should deploy when the model gets to the angle it needs to fire, you know what I mean right?
