Just like to point out that...

We are all friends here. We all work very hard. Life is very difficult. Modding is very difficult. We are all very talented people. We all share and are friends and work selflessly together for the betterment of the community. Our only hope and our only reward is that others will derive joy from the things we make. We all get along because we are all very nice, kind, selfless people.
...and if we were any good at what we did we'd be making money off it.

Because popularity = betterer. Reminds me of the whole Starcraft vs TA debate. Of course, I am not saying that Starcraft is worse than TA, nor am I saying that *A is worse than SWSJoseJoas wrote:That's because most of the people here are still in it. =P
Worth pointing out is that Caydr's mod was overwhelmingly the most popular for Spring and its (also incompetently modded, it seems) successor still is. Where's your popular mod, Gnome?
There's a reason that code monkies are told what to do and then shoved into their holes: most are too dumb to understand practical applications for their wizzbang 1337 (commercially worthless and often dreadfully sucky) pet projects. ~~

So Forb, you should go to McDonalds with Gnome's respect - that and a buck fifty will get you a coffee.

[/quote]Learn to make your own content or get the hell out. The fact that AA/BA/*A's developers can't mod their way out of a paper bag...
Oh so true, enough of the fecking TA crap already.
Re: Just like to point out that...
This is a stupid flame-baiting statement. If there weren't the *A mods Spring wouldn't have a 1/10 of the playerbase it has now.Gnome wrote: Learn to make your own content or get the hell out. The fact that AA/BA/*A's developers can't mod their way out of a paper bag...
This statement is also inaccurate. CA devs especially have done a lot of stuff, eg LUA widgets/rules and a few of them can model OK. The original developers of XTA also made Spring :)
actually swiftspear said it better:
SwiftSpear wrote:More work? Granted. More professional projects? Granted. More valid games??? Honestly, I think that's reading too far into the way things work. Work for the sake of work doesn't add value, and until you put something on the table it's impossible to really evaluate how good it really is.
Forboding Angel wrote:Best sentence stated in the entire thread TBH. Actually their iced coffee is free on mondays, and if you have them hold the ice and put vanilla softserve in it, mmmm mmm good.JoseJoas wrote:So Forb, you should go to McDonalds with Gnome's respect - that and a buck fifty will get you a coffee.

*Panda happily reads about and listens to Smoth, Gnome, and Forb working on their maps and mods.*

We only have milkshakes over here, no iceshakes. Is there a difference between the iceshakes over there and the milkshakes over here? I know that the milkshakes over here are make with lowfat milk and flavored syrup. They're very sugary, but are some of the more healthy things to eat at McDonald's aside from the fruit cups and veggie only salads, turtle food.rattle wrote:Chemical cocktails as in cherry or strawberry ice shakes? Only thing I don't feel like wasting my money on and they're rather enjoyable, unlike BK's sugarshakes.
Oh well, I'm either sick or hungry or both when I leave at McD. Real food for the win.
I usually feel kind of sick after eating fast food too.
