Next Spring Package installers: EE map/mod pack

Post by HeavyLancer »

Right, after a generally good response form my previous package installer, I have another pack on it's way: The EE Package!

I have sorted out the AI and Mod, so all I need is some good maps for it. I would like the communities suggestions on this.
So far my ideas have been:
  • Delta Siege Dry
    EE-Conqurers Isle-Remake-v01
    EE-DeltaGlade-v02
    EE-Deserted Sinkhole
    EE-DustBowl-v02.
    EE-Narrow Passage-v02
    EE-River Glade
    EE-Waterways-v01
    Fields of Isis
So basically DSD because it is a good team map, all of the EE maps by forboding angel, and Fields of Isis because it looks like it could play well with EE.

Any suggestions?

Yeah, probably. I will leave Isis out until a new, finished version comes out. If all else fails, I can simply drop it from the package and include it in another package.

Oki River is a good EE map, as is Painted Desert Remake. You may consider including them.

Have you spoken with fang? He has done masses of work since the last EE release.

My understanding was that, out of frustration with this forum, he wanted people to abandon EE while he lived a life of seclusion, vaguely hinting that there may be a complete release in the future.

In short, if you bug Fang about EE, he will probably just tell you not to distribute his game.

EE 0.173 is phail when comapred to the godliness that is Epic EE 0.18

Fang is also under the impression EE is dead. He has said all the newest version needs is a rebalance due to the many changes.

Uh??? what bloody planet are you on??? Here let me fix what u just said...

Fang is working through some Real Life (TM) issues but EE is NOT dead. All the newest version needs is the GD unit icons & balancing due to the many changes and its done.
EE .173 is a perfectly playable mod (baring a few minor oversights on some units). Also its a sort of mutated form of TA gameplay that will be a completely unique experience compared to Epic EE (it being more like NOTA with EE IP and mobile unarmed commanders).

By all means if u want to release a package go ahead. At least getting the current playstyle more exposed is never a bad thing. The maps u posted are great and as was mentioned Oki River (remake iirc) plays rather well.

Epic probably will be post .75 so that fang can add some of the more interesting lua ideas he has had... So u can wait till then or do a .173 package now its your choice.
