Meh, you dont understand, if we dont whine, he will just continue that advert-site-who-stole-my-domain -design.

Keep trying, i aint stopping you! Just saying which sucks and which doesnt... Should i just shut up and say its super nice and such things? No, i aint gonna to just shut up if i see something to whine about, or things will never get better. Why did he start this topic if he doesnt want to hear whats bad and whats good?

AF, instead of posting those images, post link to the HTML source, and we could also modify it. Also HTML takes much less space than one big image...

The top menu options need finishing and the side menu is optional, other than that the black line on the edges of the central blue body is the only thing missing
It still looks like ass.

It would help though, if you guys said something more then:

I think this design could be better the current one if the searchbar wasn't in such a peculiar spot.

I don't feel like this look is worth it though. the background color, and honestly I'm not that fond of the banner.

I think the best page so far just needs a touch up (slightly smaller banner, etc.)

And then if you want some kind of "advertising" you need to figure out how you want that. or if you're only going for a support site, then I think it looks good.

Maybe find a way so that half the page isn't taken up by a screenshot. That's probably my biggest complaint of the "downloads" page.

Cong, I agree I like that template, and with the modified spring logo from the red banner and a few variuations itd be better.

And I agree, if you come in ym thread to say "it looks like ass" then pop out then your trolling plain and simple and I'd like your posts removed via moderator for derailing this thread.

I havent posted urls to the site yet because if I do that people will judge it based on the content not the site, theyll see lorem ipsum news posts I havent repalced yet and behave as if they're part of the final site, I dont want lorem ipsum all over my .. their frontpage!

Whatsmore, I posted a request for help, and most of the people simply logged in looked at the source saw a single <table> tag on the forum page and said 'use css', despite the <table> tags being phpbb's fault not mine, nto to mention a complete lack of help.

Also I made it very clear that I didnt get rid of the top menu icons I just havent put them in yet, and that the side menu was optional yet you dissed them anyway even though I said they were unfinished. All it is, is a spring template thats just this site made stretchable.

And yes, a template that looked like tims site would make tims site totally obsolete functionally.

If you want to help improve the site pm me and Ill pm you back the site url, but if your just looking for a peek and an excuse to complain the unfinished site isnt finished then dont bother.

Trademark, that is an unfinished template intended to look identical to this current site but with a few minor changes. It will be optional of those users who dont like the aesthetics and prefer the current style. Having said that your comments cna be applied to this site just as easily so if youve got nothing helpful to say then just shutup.

Thankyou cong06 for the constructive critiscism and the helpful suggestions, keep them coming.

And I repeat, if your here to diss, flame bait, insult, or drag what I've posted through the gutter, go away. This isnt just about pure aesthetics, and nothing is finalized.

It's tempting to bend over backwards a little and help you a bit with Joomla but in the end I like to finish up my own work to so.. ehh maybe when I'm done.

And I guess that the most important functions of the site can be found in Joomla but to say my work can be made "totally obsolete functionally" with a template is stretching it a bit. (and it's also somewhat degrading) I don't think you can do the translation back-end in a template for example.
But prove me wrong.

My site already has all the functionality of yours and more, although I really doubt that theres much use in an auto-translator save for confusing people with broken French of German.

Wow, AF, you really didnt care what i just said, and you actually just said my sayings were totally bullshit, and i should just shut up.

Well, if you think it that way, i cant change it, do what you want, but if you continue that advert-site-who-stole-my-domain design, you will just fail.

Im not trying to stop you, keep up working, but take the feedback... and improve your design with it...

You obviously didnt read my post. If you did you'd know that its an optional template that isn't turned on unless the user decides to turn it on.

You said it failed because fo the menu on the side, even though I said the menu was optional and was going to be removed.

You said it failed because I removed the top menu links when I said I didnt remove them I just hadn't added them yet and it was a work in progress.

Trademark: That buildings rubbish, it looks like a slum, its built out of scaffolding, if you go ahead with that building made out of plastic signs and wooden walkways this buildings going to look rubbish.

Architect says: wtf thats a stone building, theres just scaffolding because its still being built, those signs are just the builders company! Don't be stupid! That isn't even the right building! The right buildings that skyscraper over there! This is just for the people who prefer the old building thats being replaced by the skyscraper!

Trademark says: Wow, Architect, you really didnt care what i just said, and you actually just said my sayings were totally bullshit, and i should just shut up.

Well, if you think it that way, i cant change it, do what you want, but if you continue that wooden panel slums design, you will just fail.

Yhea well, of course I fully respect your personal cyberspace but in this case you did not appreciate the feedback you got from TradeMark on the screenshots you posted and as I was still looking for some feedback I thought you would not really mind if I distracted him for a second.

In light of recent events I've decided to help tim with his site. Iamacup nuking darkstars.co.uk and the demands of my other projects mean I cant compete with tim, and the realisation that the community contribution needed for my site just wont happen while tims exists.

So for now heres the link to the site proposal untill cuppy finishes nuking it:

well, good luck with everything...

I was hoping that the two would be merged sometime anyway.
Maybe you can make his site what it isn't (and yours was). :-)
