what are those files :
zlib.dll, dbghelp.dll, CrashRpt.dll ?

On a similar topic... would it be posisble for future distributions to have needed game files in a seperate HAPI to XTA data?

XTA is "needed" so to speak. You have to have a mod for there to be units to play with, xta just happens to be the default.

I mean files that spring wont run without e.g. when i run mymod in spring it will complain that button9.wav is not present, so I have to have taenheter.ccx enabled, which causes issues with movement class conflicts.

If the XTA data was seperate from such files it would be much easier to convert TA mods to Spring.

zlib is a compression/decompression library. dbghelp and CrashRpt are a crash reporting tool to help debugging.
