TAS MapMaker: A MapConv-Frontend v0.73 - features support

Post by very_bad_soldier »

Hi...

I'm new to map-making but I made a little frontend for mapconv & 7zip. So you don't have to mess with batchfiles and you can compile a map with one click. I have uploaded it to: http://spring.unknown-files.net/file/32 ... aker_0.73/

It's nothing special but maybe it is useful for someone. Any bug reports or feature requests are welcome...

AF is an insensitive dick. Don't listen to him.

Yes, there have been other tihngs already made, but more competition is great. Good to see you've made a contribution :)

You can't put a - into the min height field.

Thank you all for posting! :P

I have uploaded a fixed version and also fixed a bug with non-square maps:
ht*p://spring.unknown-files.net/file/2394/TAS_Map_Maker_v0.11/

Does anyone encountered the bug that the application will quit itself at randomg when browsing for maps from time to time?
I had this strange behaviour when I used it on a mate's machine. Dunno why atm...

maybe it's just me but when i use the app all my maps turn out inverted whether i tick the inverted box or i dont. other than that - very good idea and (almost) perfectly done.
As of now i cant use the app which is is a shame because it makes the whole process so easy.
keep up the good work, you're on the right track.

My bad. I thought AF was posting a link to other random map frontend proggies to discourage this new guy from putting his own work up. But he wasn't.

Apologies. :P

Thanks again for all your posts! :-)

Once again I found some really dumb bugs in the current version (e.g. minHeight & maxHeight are interchanged, big sorry for that). So it wont work very well in the current version I think. These major bugs are fixed now but I still have some problems with mapConv.exe (invert still doesnt work).

Which version of mapConv is the one to use? I found many versions of it, all stated to be version 0.5. Could someone post a link to the "current" or "best" version? Thanks!

I will upload a new version as soon as I think I have a working one :D

You sir, are a wonder and a saint. If you'll keep it up until we have all the bugs ironed out, I'm sure AF has a cookie for you.

Nice to hear that :-)

Not really, maybe an option to choose a fs.txt-file just like the other files.
But if there are particular features you would like to see I will truly try to implement them (or any other stuff you think should be changed).

Yes, the fs.txt file and the other files that are need for custom
features. So, all the files get zipped up together.
