I got myself banned
Well, my brother and I were having an argument and I ended up getting myself auto-banned for flood. I have a few questions: Is this ban permanent? Do I need to do something to get unbanned? And is it possible to connect to my brother without connecting to the server?
Thanks for your time.

how exactly do you find out who is a moderator?yah, this is a situation where you pm a MODERATOR. It is considered bad practice to complain on the forum about a ban.
I have stuff to say/ask:
I couldn't do what iamacup suggested because I was banned of the server. Meaning I couldn't go to the local channel.
Neither my brother or I were complaining and for that matter complaining about anything on any forum is, as you put it, considered bad practice.
Why is flooding treated with a permanent ban? Most servers just do something like a 5 minute to 5 hour kick/ban. And we waited about a day before trying to connect.
Who are the moderators? Just for future reference.

OFFICIAL STANCE: Ban evasion is frowned upon, but the system we use for flood protection is pretty lame anyways at the human level, so we unban by request for flood bans, basically they just saved us work by hopping an IP.
The flooding ban is permanent, the reason being that if we are attacked by an automated system it can't proceed in it's attack without a human intervening. If we were to be ddos'ed by 2000 machines and we allowed the ban to end after some fixed duration there would be nothing preventing an intelligent hacker from having each bot in the network automatically relogon after the ban expired, meaning a zero effort sustained attack.
The proper method of appealing a flooding ban is posting in the game lobby forum. We understand that new users don't know who all the spring moderators are, don't hark at them for not knowing a more efficient system for dealing with their problem. These guys missed the right forum, but the topic can easily be moved as well (we'll probably lock it soon though since the problem is solved)

Thank you, this has been an "official stance on the issue".
