Dual Screen Mode
I'd like to know why dual screen mode doesn't stretch passed my original screen. It just splits my first monitor in half and leaves my second screen alone. Is that what it's supposed to do?
You have to type in a custom resolution thats equal to both your monitores... so if you have to 1024 x 768 screens, use 2048 x 768 as your resolution...
You could ofcorse always do this from teh begining, ticking the box just ofsets the perspective (so it looks right) and shoves the map on one half.

Exactly!
Someone should fix it :)
I just got a second monitor, but it is smaller than the main one and current dual screen mode doesn't work too well. Ideally some supercool dev would program it so that the minimap could be rendered simply on one screen (using less graphics card resources) while the viewport could be rendered on the main screen.

Perhaps give him a pm or something next time you see him around and he can help you out..
[SmuG]Steven just told me on MSN he would be happy to help people with this issue as well, just send him a PM

Here's a screenshot of the dual screen mode, rendered on 2 sides of a beryl cube. There's also a thumbnail view on the task switcher in the 2nd desktop that shows exactly what it looks like.smoth wrote:I hate that we cannot get a screen shot of the whole thing. otherwise I love it.

Hi,
I'm also interested in playing spring dual screen but not in "extended mode". As many players, I have different size/reso screens that's why it would be fantastic to render minimap and playground on 2 screens independantly.
I think if we all PM Steven, it'll be annoying. So what would be the best solution to submit that feature request ?

I would love an option for it hell, I'll crop the picture if I gotta I just want to take a few shots of the expanded screen.I don't need beryl, I have 2 monitors and dual screen works fine for me. I just want the whole thing to show up in my screen shots.

Wow! This is a lot more discussion than I anticipated on this subject. I just wanted to know how to make it split onto both monitors. Heh...
However after using split screen myself on two monitors, I noticed I hardly looked at the other monitor so all kinds of stuff happened on the radar map that I wasn't noticing.
I think it's a nice feature but it's not one that works well for me. (Might be cause my monitors are at right angles to each other and so I can't see both at once. Other than that it was great to see things happening in real time on the big map. I like classical view better IMHO.)
